We sat down with each of the individuals leading a section of the evening to talk about their practice & background. We hope you enjoy learning a bit more about them as much as we did!

We hope you can join us on 6/17. The evening is free, but please pre-register HERE so we can have an idea of how many people to expect.

Meet Helane Marie Anderson of Sacral Sounds. This inspirational woman is the author of You Are Meant to Sing! 10 Steps to Unlock Your Inner Voice, a transformational program and book, and has produced two sound healing recordings, Elemental Alchemy and Painted Sound: A Journey Through the 7 Chakras, that help to balance the elements and chakras within the body, mind and spirit. Helane is certified as an Integrative CranioSacral Therapy Practitioner & Massage and Polarity Therapist through the Life Energy Institute/ I.P.S.B, the Institute for Psycho-Structural Balancing in Culver City, CA, with further studies at the Milne Institute in CranioSacral work. Helane holds a certificate in Sound Healing and Therapy from the Globe Institute in San Francisco, CA, has received additional training in sound healing with John Beaulieu and Jamie Bechtold, and is a certified vinyasa yoga instructor.

.

Helane, can you begin by telling us when and how you first got involved in sound healing?

I am a trained classical pianist and singer and always had an interest in healing work. After many years working in the classical music world, I eventually turned my focus to the healing arts and sound healing became my main focus utilizing my skills as a trained musician and craniosacral therapist. I also focus on working with people to open their voices and use this internal instrument to heal themselves. The book and program I developed is called You Are Meant to Sing! 10 Steps to Unlock Your Inner Voice and is based on the many different healing modalities I have practiced coupled with my musical background.

.

What's your mission as a sound healer? Who are you trying to reach & why?

My mission is to share my voice leading by example and to help others open up and share theirs. My intention is to create a safe place for people to express themselves, receive deep healing and develop more consciousness around their life and choices. I love working with people and seeing how they change  when they feel empowered to make desired changes in their life.

.

What does sustainability mean to you? Why is it important?

Sustainability to me is making smart choices with how I approach daily life and I admire what Recontained's mission is to help create less waste.
 .

What can people do to raise their vibration to get the most out of your sessions?

I think the most important thing is to come open to whatever unfolds. Everytime I do a sound session it's different and based on the unique people and energy present at that moment. When people are open to the possibility of receiving in that space, their vibration is automatically raised.
 .

What’s one piece of advice you want to share about sound healing?

Receiving sound is always different and each practitioner will have their own way of working with sound. My musical background and years of studying many different healing arts modalities affect how I work with sound and people. I think that seeking out people who are skilled and that resonate with you is an important part of the process. I always tell people to e-mail me if they have questions afterwards since sound can bring things to the surface for people to clear. It's very important to hold this space.

Can you begin by telling us when and how you first got involved in spiritual guidance?

I’ve always been a nurturer and have wanted people to feel good but you could say that my involvement in spiritual guidance started as a student.  I was eager to heal myself and learn about human behavior and spirituality which lead me to study a wide variety of resources on spirituality and attract master teachers into my life. In 2010, my life started to shift as my pursuit of a music career started to dissolve and a new perspective was emerging. I had been a musician, a teacher for Apple and Musicians Institute and I realized that what I enjoyed most was teaching spirituality and healing.  Even though my songs were aimed at healing, teaching, and inspiring others, I realized the limited song structure was prohibiting me from using the full power of my gift as an intuitive healer.  So after taking a few years to allow the music to fade and integrate the new me that was emerging, it became clear that I was to help people through spiritual guidance. So in 2013, I took my first paid client.  And from there I’ve been refining my teachings and learning how to serve and contribute in more powerful ways.  My journey has been about remembering my own innate freedom and joy and I would love to help others remember that place too!
.

What's your mission as a spiritual guide? Who are you trying to reach & why?

My mission as a spiritual guide is to help people transform their lives by returning them to their ultimate truth and loving heart. I want to teach people about the journey of awakening, healing the past hurts and fears that they may be carrying, and inspire them by leading them back to their inner truth, love and power.  The people I feel most to reach are people who want to awaken to their deeper truth/authenticity and heal and forgive the old wounds that have held them back.   People that are ready to dissolve shame, guilt, worry, doubt and lack so that they can anchor a new identity as a strong, powerful creator and allow more love and abundance into their lives. My work is deep and can be a jolt of awakening so I would like to work with people who are committed to powerful change and are ready for deep inner shifts.
.

What does sustainability mean to you? Why is it important?

Sustainability is returning to our own divine knowingness and feel how we are connected to nature, the life giving force. We are one with our environment as it literally provides all the resources that give us life.  So sustainability is about living in perfect harmony with nature and having gratitude and appreciation for what nature gives to us. It is important because without this delicate balance and exchange both humans and nature will perish.  Sustainability is about honoring and loving mother earth by living from love and making daily choices from that awareness.
.

What can people do to raise their vibration to get the most out of spiritual guidance and healing?

The most important thing a person can do is to be still and listen to their inner voice. In this day in age, most people want to solve all their problems through action.  But if a person will be courageous enough to be still they will feel/hear/see the solutions rise from within.  Deep breaths, meditation, journaling and yoga are all great ways of creating space for that stillness to be experienced.
.

What’s one piece of advice you want to share about intuition and spiritual guidance?

One piece of advice is that you have all the answers.  If you feel stuck or in pain, know that you have access to that inner truth which is the remedy to your suffering. I show up as a spiritual guide if you need to have some insights that you can’t seem to sort out on your own. But not to create a dependency on myself (or any healer) but rather to learn tools that can help you see easier and more graceful ways to navigate your current or future situations.

Can you begin by telling us when and how you first got involved in yoga?

Working and living in LA, I was exposed to yoga in my early 20’s (which is now 20+ years ago!), and I’ll be honest, it was the hip thing to do. My first class was with Steve Ross in Brentwood, a friend and I drove all the way from Manhattan Beach to take his class and then I took many o’ classes with Bryan Kest and his teachers at tne time, one of my favorites from SMPY was Ashley Turner. I have always been fascinated with Indian culture and the traditions of Southeast Asian countries as well as holistic healings and whatnot, so when an opportunity to practice yoga landed in my lap it was an easy invite for me to accept.
.

What does sustainability mean to you & why is it important?

Sustainability to me means the future of this Earth, the future of our children. As a Mama I am always thinking ahead, looking to be PRO-active. I can see too many awful possibilities of destruction all for the sake of convenience! Ie single use plastics. And it genuinely makes me sick. I see my children in the future struggling to find parks, lakes, that have not been littered on and destroyed by man. I see my grand babies learning about polar bears but guess what, they’ve all gone extinct—  This isn’t the time to sit on the side lines, whether it comes to advocating for the beautiful creatures in the ocean or taking care of our children by carrying a portable container for take-out and a stainless water bottle so you don’t need to pick up a plastic one - we should ALL be doing this ALL the time. Every day. If we model this kind of thinking and care, guess who will follow. Your efforts can make a difference.
.

What's one piece of advice you want to share on yoga & meditation?

Something I remind myself is that I don’t have control over everything and I don’t need to. Mother Gaia’s got my back.

Can you begin by telling us when and how you first got involved in energy healing?

As a kid I used to try balancing light and dark with my mind.  As an adult I started practicing energy healing in 2016. I became interested in alternative healing modalities as a teenager and started by receiving tarot readings, Reiki, Theta healing, acupuncture, muscle testing, myofascial release and more.  In 2015 while involved in business development and marketing consulting work, I felt there was more I had to offer but couldn’t quite pinpoint what that was. Everyday in prayer I asked, “please align me with my path, purpose and destiny.” From there, I moved into spiritual work.
.

Tell us a little about Creation Consulting. Who are you trying to reach with this practice?

Creation Consulting is a service for highly conscious and awake entrepreneurs who are ready to birth and nurture their creation(s) and who are looking for support along the way.  When truly aligned to carry out our soul’s work and purpose, we bump up against conventional logic and the mind programmed with deeply ingrained societal rules and customs. Not many services bridge and offer spiritual, intellectual, emotional, practical and business guidance needed for conscious co-creation.  My intention is to be a facilitator in the process providing well-rounded support which comes in energetic and tangible forms. Leaps of faith are scary because we have not been cultured to embrace and practice in this space. My intention is to help our future leaders grow and soar!
.

What does sustainability mean to you? Why is it important?

Sustainability to me means longevity and living harmoniously with the natural world.  Sustainability is existing in a way that allows living, organic matter to thrive - plants, animals, nature, humans.  Living things naturally regenerate so I believe the best approach is to reduce impact.
.

What can people do to raise their vibration to get the most out of your sessions?

Here are tips for raising and maintaining your vibration and charge: 1. take care of your basic health needs - proper sleep, nutrition, movement, rest and recovery.  2. stay balanced in mind, heart, will, body and spirit. 3. Lean into what lights you up whether that is spending time with a certain person, learning more about a topic or trying a new activity.  4. Embody your truth ~ be who you are. 5. Spend time in nature to reset and revitalize yourself. 6. Meditate 7. Balance again - caring for yourself so that you can be energized and charged, empowered to feel well and free.
.

What’s one piece of advice you want to share about energy healing & crystals?

Our bodies naturally heal.  Open, balance, trust and nurture yourself along the way.  Crystals and other tools help facilitate the healing process similar to how medicine boosts immunity or how acupuncture needles help move energy through our meridians.  In most forms of healing, we are either removing blockages to promote the flow of life force or adding components to stimulate and support this movement. Experiment and find what works for you.
