FAQS

What if I break a bottle?

If you choose to keep a bottle, break a bottle, or crack a bottle so it is no longer usable, you will be charged a bottle replacement fee of $5/bottle. If you have any questions about this you can always CONTACT US.

What if I still have product leftover from last month?

We recommend pouring any extra product into a separate container (like a mason jar) to be used later.

Do I need to clean my bottles? 

No. We clean all bottles prior to refilling them. Just place them into the mesh bag provided & leave them out with your full compost bin.

What if I ran out of product before my next refill?

You can always come by our store at 1629 Abbot Kinney, Venice, CA 90291 to top off anything you need! We are open Tuesday - Sunday 11am - 7pm, but are closed on Mondays.

Do I have to be home to receive my order/get my compost picked up?

No. Just place your bin outside in the designated spot on your collection day, along with your empty bottles in the mesh bag provided. Compostable LA will pick it up and leave a clean bin & fresh refills in its place. They service accounts between 10:00am and 4:00pm, so it may take a few hours before your clean bin arrives.
